Business Data Analyst

Job Purpose The Business Data Analyst works in a multi-functional data & analytics team responsible for driving initiatives to improve the use of data and automated processes to drive generation of valuable insights for Travix. Your main responsibility is to identify, formulate and execute data projects that will provide the maximum value in unlocking new data assets and insights for the business teams and Travix as a whole. As part of our centralized data team, your analysis work reaches multiple business units. Your analysis will serve as the single source of truth that teams across the company rely on for decision-making. You are expected to be Travix’s in-house expert in best practices of utilizing data, generating insights and identifying the safe ways of utilizing AI, LLMs in data analytics. As a Business Data Analyst you work with multiple business teams with one of them being your primary focus. Core tasks and responsibilities Working with internal business stakeholders to understand major challenges and opportunities. Brainstorm and execute solutions that involve advanced applied analytics methodologies. Develop in-depth understanding of main priorities and challenges that business teams have. Highlight opportunities for better use of existing data sources, identify data blind spots and a strategy for fixing them with close collaboration with data engineering team In Shanghai. Develop and lead key complex analytical projects that build foundations for data analysis and generate insights. This includes setting up in-house data modeling tools using SQL and Python. Create complex SQL queries that transform data into ready-to-use optimized datasets Build KPI-driven dashboards and analytical tools to help business stakeholders to optimize a process of insights generation supporting data-driven decision making. Provide deep dives into company and business team performance. Communicate insights generated in a clear story and provide strategic and tactical recommendations. Have a proactive stakeholder management, where you spread the results of your work and gathered insights with multiple stakeholders within the company as single source of truth. Be the primary point of contact for all analytical/data questions for the business team (especially the focused business team). What you bring to the table Education Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Econometrics, or another relevant study or equivalent practical experience Experience More than 5 years experience as Data or BI Analyst Strong business intuition and ability to understand complex business systems Strong technical accomplishments in SQL and data analysis skills Expertise in visualization technologies using modern BI tools Advanced ability to leverage LLMs for SQL generation, Python scripting, and data summarization A solid foundation on data modeling concepts Having experience with analytics and analytical framework for the business team that will be the priority focus Experience identifying and pitching new analytical tools and analysis including project that leverage the potential of AI , LLMs Soft skills Analytical, problem-solver and solutions-focused Can-do mentality, performance-driven, flexible Independent as well as team-player able to collaborate successfully with multiple cross-functional stakeholders with diverse levels of understanding of analytics Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate and execute analytical projects Ability to communicate data-heavy insights & recommendations in a simple story Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with C-suite Be able to facilitate and lead meetings to influence stakeholder decisions with data-driven insights What you can expect from us 🕒 Enjoy the flexibility and life balance of hybrid work where each team aligns on their minimum number of days in office to foster collaboration and meet the team's needs. 🏖️ Possibility to work up to 90 days from abroad (depending on your job function) ✈️ 31...
