We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel focused on product and marketing compliance, data protection, IP, and regulatory compliance in the USA, EU, and UK. As the SKELAR Legal Risks & Compliance team, we build the foundation that enables our businesses to scale quickly and with minimal risk. We handle compliance in numerous jurisdictions, resolve complex cases, and provide top-level legal partnership. Your impact In this role, you will: - Identify potential risks in consumer protection, data privacy, and IP in tier-1 jurisdictions: the USA, EU, and UK. - Develop practical legal solutions to protect SKELAR interests and support business objectives. - Partner with business teams — marketing, product, engineering, finance — to implement comprehensive compliance programs and facilitate informed decision-making. - Build new and enhance existing legal processes to proactively manage risks. - Provide support for businesses in regulatory investigations and dispute resolution processes. - Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance, training, and compliance initiatives for the business. - Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll have real ownership from day one. About you - 4+ years of experience in local or international top-tier law firms / Big 4 / product or tech companies. - A degree in law from a Ukrainian or foreign university. - Fluent English. - Initiative and willingness to work on a wide variety of legal matters. - Practical, business-oriented approach and ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives. - The ability to think creatively to solve complex legal issues. - Result-oriented, well-organized, self-starter. - Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and pragmatic manner. Will be a plus - Expertise in consumer protection laws in the USA and EU: FTC Act, ROSCA, OMNIBUS Directive, etc. - Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks. - Expertise advising companies through the life cycle of business operations, including on commercial, compliance, and intellectual property matters - AI tools practical knowledge and usecases At SKELAR, we have built an environment where people can reach their full professional potential: - SKELAR Platform.
