This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Developer Community Manager based in India. This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a developer community from the ground up within a fast-growing technology environment. You will shape the community strategy, establish its culture, and create programs that help developers connect, learn, and succeed. As the community's primary voice, you will foster meaningful conversations while creating scalable engagement through content, events, and recognition programs. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure developer perspectives influence products and experiences. The role combines community building, technical advocacy, content strategy, and data-driven program management. It offers the chance to create a lasting developer ecosystem and directly influence how technical users engage with the platform. Build, launch, and grow an engaged developer community, establishing its culture, governance, engagement model, and long-term programs. Serve as the primary community voice by responding to questions, facilitating discussions, and maintaining authentic relationships with developers across community platforms. Moderate community channels, enforce guidelines, manage escalations, and promote a safe, inclusive, and constructive environment. Drive engagement through conversations, educational resources, recurring office hours, AMAs, developer challenges, prompts, and hackathons. Develop and manage a content calendar, creating and coordinating technical, educational, and community-focused content with internal contributors. Identify and support emerging community contributors, connecting them with broader developer advocacy and recognition initiatives. Design gamification, badging, and recognition programs that celebrate participation and technical contributions. Collaborate with technical teams to develop tutorials, guides, use cases, and other resources that help developers adopt and deepen their expertise. Capture community feedback, pain points, feature requests, and emerging needs, translating them into actionable insights for internal teams. Triage bug reports and roadmap requests, coordinate follow-up with relevant stakeholders, and ensure community members receive appropriate closure. Monitor and report on community health metrics, including engagement, response times, participation, and sentiment, using data to continuously improve programs. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, community management, or a related field, with demonstrated success building communities from the ground up. Proven ability to launch a developer community, generate early engagement, establish sustainable participation, and scale membership over time. Experience creating governance, moderation, content, and engagement programs using platforms such as Slack, Discourse, Reddit, or comparable community tools. A degree in computer science or a related technical field, equivalent software engineering experience, or a strong foundation in open-source development. Familiarity with work management, automation, developer platforms, or related technology ecosystems; experience with comparable SaaS platforms is a plus. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create technical yet approachable responses for developers with varying levels of expertise. Demonstrated experience managing content calendars that balance evergreen educational material with timely campaigns, challenges, and community initiatives. Strong empathy for developers and the ability to celebrate community achievements while handling sensitive feedback with discretion and professionalism. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build alignment and influence teams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Custome
