This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Technician 2 based in the United States. This onsite opportunity supports advanced engineering and development projects within a highly technical space and propulsion environment. You’ll help build, test, troubleshoot, and improve mechanical and electrical systems and specialized test equipment. The role combines hands-on technical work with documentation, data management, process improvement, and safety-focused operations. You’ll work from engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and detailed work instructions to deliver reliable results. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, while also requiring strong independence, discipline, and self-direction. Your work will contribute directly to complex development programs where precision, safety, and technical rigor are essential. Support a variety of engineering and development projects, contributing to process improvements and team objectives. Review and implement test plans, engineering drawings, specifications, and planning documentation in support of development activities. Construct and wire test fixtures and test chassis using drawings, schematics, and detailed instructions. Perform setup, fabrication, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical systems and related equipment. Work with specialized tools, operating equipment, chemicals, and explosives while following all applicable safety procedures and controls. Gather, compile, maintain, and report technical data, certifications, planning information, and other documentation required for internal and customer hardware packages. Use calibrated measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters to perform accurate technical work. Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement, efficiency, and an organized work environment. Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering documentation, schematics, electronic work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Troubleshoot software and technical systems independently while learning new tools and processes as required. Maintain clear, accurate written documentation and communicate effectively with engineering and technical teams. Work primarily independently while collaborating with a small team and supporting additional projects or duties as assigned. Work a 4/10 schedule , with overtime as needed, and support occasional domestic travel of approximately 10%. Requirements High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience , or an associate degree/certificate in a STEM discipline with no prior relevant experience required. Previous experience gathering, maintaining, and compiling technical data. Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, schematics, reports, technical manuals, and written instructions. Demonstrated experience with mechanical setup, fabrication, troubleshooting, manual tools, and power tools. Ability to use calibrated measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications . Ability to understand and follow electronic work instructions and detailed standard procedures with a high level of discipline. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a practical and methodical approach to technical challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create clear, understandable documentation. Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
