This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant, Americas & ANZ based in United States. This role supports the financial operations of a global organization across the Americas and ANZ regions. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The position offers broad exposure to US GAAP, multi-state taxation, month-end close, and audit processes. You will collaborate with finance leaders and cross-functional teams to strengthen financial operations and reporting consistency. The role is well suited to a detail-oriented accountant who enjoys solving complex issues and improving processes. You will also contribute to financial projects, system enhancements, and the ongoing development of accounting practices. Support month-end and year-end closing activities across multiple entities, including preparing and posting accruals and prepaid expenses. Perform balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts, including payroll, intercompany transactions, sales and use tax, accruals, and prepaid expenses. Assist with management reporting, variance analysis, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and internal standards. Prepare sales and use tax returns and supporting documentation, and assist with federal and state income tax workpapers and schedules. Maintain compliance with US GAAP, state and local statutory requirements, and internal financial controls. Support external audits by coordinating with auditors and preparing required documentation and supporting schedules. Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes, procedures, documentation, and internal controls. Participate in ad hoc financial projects and system enhancement initiatives designed to improve efficiency and reporting quality. Collaborate with global finance teams to promote consistency in accounting policies, financial processes, and reporting standards. Provide analytical and operational support to finance leadership and accounting colleagues. Build effective working relationships with Operations, Sales, HR, and other internal stakeholders. Assist with onboarding and training new finance team members on relevant financial tools, systems, and processes. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a multinational or shared-services environment. Strong understanding of US GAAP, general accounting principles, and multi-state sales and use taxation. Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and financial reporting. Experience supporting audits, tax compliance, statutory reporting, and internal financial controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess complex accounting issues and reach sound conclusions. Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing accurate, audit-ready work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems; NetSuite or comparable ERP experience is advantageous. Ability to improve workflows, strengthen documentation, and promote standardized accounting practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial and accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. CPA certification or active progress toward CPA licensure is a plus.
