This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Loan Administrator based in Canada. This role offers an opportunity to support complex commercial lending operations within a fast-paced international banking environment. You’ll manage the day-to-day administration of loan facilities and transactions across diverse portfolio structures. Working with teams across North America and internationally, you’ll help ensure operational accuracy, timely execution, and strong data quality. The position combines loan servicing, reconciliations, internal controls, investigation, and regulatory compliance responsibilities. You’ll also contribute to process improvements, technology initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing alongside IT and management teams. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure. It’s a strong opportunity for an experienced banking operations professional seeking exposure to sophisticated loan operations and global stakeholders. Administer the complete lifecycle of loan facilities and transactions, including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, prepayments, funding, rate fixings, fees, commissions, external payments, interest collections, and Nostro reconciliations. Manage the day-to-day operational administration of an assigned loan portfolio, responding to ad-hoc queries, investigating discrepancies, and tracking relevant data points. Oversee facilities and associated product structures while ensuring Business-as-Usual deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Maintain accurate operational reference data and support designated data-management processes. Apply internal control frameworks and ensure operational activities comply with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements. Identify and escalate operational anomalies, bottlenecks, risks, and control deficiencies to the appropriate team leadership. Collaborate with international Business Support teams and colleagues across multiple locations to ensure smooth and consistent loan operations. Contribute to process improvements, ad-hoc assignments, and strategic initiatives led by management. Support IT and management teams during system releases, including preparing for and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Maintain current knowledge of loan operations, relevant systems, processes, and regulatory requirements. Complete mandatory training and continuously develop the technical and operational knowledge required for the role. Follow Canadian regulatory requirements, internal policies, operational procedures, financial-security controls, fraud-prevention measures, and anti-financial-crime requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of commercial banking operations experience , ideally with exposure to loan administration; experience with ACBS is preferred. Strong understanding of core banking operations, including accounting, funding, Nostro entries, and cash management. Familiarity with loan agreements, credit facilities, contractual terms, conditions, and related lending processes. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word , with the ability to learn proprietary loan, payment, and operational platforms. Fluent, professional-level English communication skills; French proficiency is an asset, as are additional languages. Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze discrepancies and resolve complex operational issues. Experience working with IT teams in project environments, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , is valuable.
