This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Imaging Clinical Research Scientist based in the United States. This is a senior scientific role focused on advancing diagnostic radiopharmaceutical imaging programs across oncology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease. You will shape clinical development strategies from early-stage studies through registration and support the translation of innovative imaging approaches into clinical practice. The role combines disease biology, biomarker science, molecular imaging expertise, and clinical trial execution. You will serve as a scientific authority across imaging modalities including PET, SPECT, CT, and MRI. Working closely with physicians, scientists, imaging specialists, and external partners, you will influence study design, imaging methodologies, and biomarker strategies. The position offers the opportunity to evaluate emerging technologies, quantitative imaging methods, and AI-driven approaches in a highly collaborative environment. This is an impactful opportunity for a translational scientist seeking to contribute to programs designed to improve diagnosis, patient selection, and disease monitoring. Lead the design and execution of integrated clinical development programs for diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals across oncology, immunology, cardiovascular disease, and related therapeutic areas. Define clinical strategies, endpoints, patient populations, imaging criteria, and study approaches across early- and late-phase development. Design and support studies assessing diagnostic accuracy, imaging timing, patient-selection biomarkers, and performance compared with standard-of-care imaging. Serve as a subject-matter expert in molecular imaging modalities, including PET, SPECT, CT, and MRI, with applications such as vascular and myocardial inflammation, autoimmune disease activity, atherosclerotic plaque, and cardiac amyloidosis. Analyze and interpret molecular imaging data, including tracer biodistribution, tumor localization, dosimetry considerations, longitudinal response, and quantitative imaging biomarkers. Evaluate imaging performance measures such as sensitivity, specificity, standardized uptake values (SUVs), and tumor-to-background ratios. Provide scientific and strategic input into the development, validation, and quantitative assessment of advanced image-analysis methodologies. Apply expertise in oncology, immune-mediated, cardiovascular, and/or metabolic disease biology to guide imaging development strategies. Collaborate with physicians, scientists, medical physicists, imaging operations teams, and advanced image-analysis specialists to deliver clinical programs. Lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate with CROs, academic institutions, technology providers, software developers, and imaging equipment manufacturers. Monitor emerging advances in molecular imaging, quantitative modeling, and artificial intelligence, identifying opportunities to incorporate innovative approaches into clinical development. Author and review clinical and regulatory materials, including Investigator’s Brochures, protocols, amendments, clinical study reports, regulatory briefing documents, and imaging-related technical documentation. Communicate scientific findings through internal presentations, conference abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications. Requirements: PhD in a relevant scientific or technical discipline. At least 5 years of clinical development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an industry environment. Experience with tracer development and/or clinical imaging research; expertise in oncology, immunology, and/or cardiology is strongly preferred.
