This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic procurement across a complex and technology-driven category. You will shape sourcing strategies that balance cost optimization, supplier performance, quality, risk, and innovation. The position has significant ownership across cloud services, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and other technology-related spend. You will lead high-value sourcing initiatives, negotiate complex agreements, and build long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers. Working closely with Technology, Legal, Finance, Accounts Payable, and business stakeholders, you will influence decisions from the earliest stages of procurement. Your work will directly contribute to measurable savings, cost avoidance, increased spend under management, and stronger supplier performance. Develop and execute technology category strategies that align with business objectives while driving cost savings, cost avoidance, quality improvements, supplier performance, and innovation. Conduct detailed market analysis to evaluate industry trends, supplier capabilities, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the technology procurement landscape. Lead competitive sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and selection processes. Manage the full sourcing lifecycle for modern cloud services, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, from requirements definition and RFP development through supplier selection and contract negotiation. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers while ensuring sourcing decisions align with broader category strategies and organizational requirements. Lead complex contract negotiations and manage the complete contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, obligations, and compliance. Serve as a strategic procurement advisor and trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, encouraging early procurement engagement and ensuring sourcing opportunities are identified proactively. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers while establishing expectations around performance, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and develop corrective action plans when suppliers fail to meet agreed requirements. Deliver measurable financial value through savings, cost avoidance, spend optimization, and increased spend under management. Partner with Legal, Finance, Accounts Payable, Technology, and business stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies and contracts are implemented effectively. Provide leadership in identifying redundant or overlapping functionality across SaaS products and help prevent fragmented or multi-sourced technology spending. Support procurement initiatives that strengthen supplier governance, commercial outcomes, security, data protection, compliance, and overall risk management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. 6+ years of experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or a related discipline, with a demonstrated record of delivering measurable results. Deep expertise in RFP development and end-to-end sourcing processes, including appropriate reviews for security, data, compliance, and other risk safeguards. Strong experience with technology procurement and modern cloud services, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
