This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) based in United States. This is a senior infrastructure engineering role focused on designing, operating, and continuously improving reliable AWS environments. You will work hands-on across cloud infrastructure, networking, infrastructure as code, containers, automation, and observability. The role combines technical ownership with independent problem-solving and a strong commitment to operational excellence. You will help ensure infrastructure remains secure, scalable, resilient, and well documented across complex environments. As a senior team member, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams while mentoring peers and helping resolve challenging technical issues. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to technology that supports home- and community-based care while working within a remote, collaborative environment. Design, implement, and support AWS infrastructure components, including VPCs, subnets, routing, connectivity, and related cloud services. Support hybrid cloud connectivity through technologies such as VPNs, private endpoints, and Transit Gateway, while contributing to high-availability and disaster-recovery capabilities. Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code practices. Support infrastructure CI/CD pipelines and develop automation that improves deployment consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency. Build and operate containerized applications using Docker and support workloads running on ECS or EKS. Assist with container scaling, health checks, deployment strategies, and troubleshooting across orchestration environments. Implement and maintain monitoring and observability capabilities using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Datadog. Support dashboards, alerts, incident response, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting to maintain strong system reliability. Partner with engineering teams to support application deployments, infrastructure operations, integrations, and issue resolution. Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources. Demonstrate independent discovery and ownership when addressing complex infrastructure challenges, while contributing to team priorities and mentoring other engineers. Support security reviews, compliance initiatives, and infrastructure practices appropriate for environments handling sensitive information. Operate effectively in a fast-paced remote environment, balancing competing priorities and maintaining clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a closely related technical discipline. Hands-on experience with core AWS services and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals. Experience using Terraform or a similar Infrastructure as Code technology to provision and manage infrastructure. Working knowledge of Docker and container platforms, with exposure to ECS, EKS, or comparable orchestration environments. Solid understanding of networking concepts and cloud connectivity, including VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, and related services. Exposure to monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or comparable technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab is a plus. Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and microservices architectures is advantageous. Experience supporting security assessments, compliance requirements, or regulated environments such as HIPAA is preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and independently investigate technical issues.
