This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Retail Sales based in Canada. This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity focused on driving retail sales growth across a geographically dispersed Western Cornbelt territory. You will lead and develop a team of Retail Sales Managers and Specialists while shaping regional go-to-market strategies. The role combines strategic planning, customer development, financial management, and hands-on commercial execution. You will build relationships with key retail, distribution, and grower accounts and identify opportunities to expand market presence. Working closely with marketing, agronomy, product, supply chain, and commercial leadership teams, you will translate business priorities into measurable results. The position offers significant influence over talent development, operational excellence, customer engagement, and profitable regional growth. Success will require strong agricultural industry knowledge, executive presence, financial acumen, and a disciplined approach to execution. Lead and develop the retail sales organization: Manage, coach, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team of Retail Sales Managers and Specialists, establishing clear expectations, accountability measures, performance goals, and development plans. Set regional commercial strategy: Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives, translating broader business priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. Drive sales and demand generation: Lead customer engagement, demand-generation, training, marketing, and business development activities to increase adoption and sales of Performance Products and Bioscience solutions. Develop strategic customer relationships: Build and strengthen relationships with major retail, distribution, and grower accounts while identifying emerging customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities. Execute go-to-market initiatives: Partner with sales and cross-functional leaders to create differentiated value propositions, customer growth programs, and effective regional commercial strategies. Improve sales operations: Establish efficient workflows, operating rhythms, account-planning processes, and sales-management practices that improve productivity, forecasting, pipeline management, and customer engagement. Leverage data and technology: Use Salesforce, Microsoft tools, CRM platforms, and business analytics to improve opportunity management, forecasting accuracy, sales execution, and decision-making. Manage financial performance: Oversee regional travel and entertainment and CIF budgets, evaluate profitability and ROI, develop business cases, and allocate resources according to strategic priorities. Collaborate across the organization: Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Agronomy, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Leadership to coordinate initiatives and drive regional performance. Influence senior stakeholders: Lead regional and national meetings, present business updates, communicate recommendations, and influence decisions through strong business judgment and executive presence. Lead change and continuous improvement: Support organizational transformation, identify operational gaps, and implement scalable improvements that strengthen commercial effectiveness. Measure and deliver results: Drive performance against sales growth, market share, revenue, profitability, product adoption, forecast accuracy, employee engagement, customer relationships, and strategic initiative targets. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Business Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
