This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Designer – Kids Sleepwear based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to shape distinctive kids’ sleepwear collections within a highly creative, collaborative product design environment. You’ll transform trends, materials, and consumer insights into original product concepts that balance style, quality, functionality, and value. Working closely with merchandising, sourcing, technical design, and engineering partners, you’ll guide designs from concept through development. You’ll own your design process and calendar while ensuring work stays aligned with brand direction, assortment strategies, and commercial objectives. The position combines creative exploration with hands-on execution through sketches, CAD artwork, materials, fabrics, and presentation boards. You’ll also contribute to product problem-solving and brand consistency across a broader portfolio of owned-brand products. This is an on-site role based at a downtown Minneapolis campus, four days per week, with opportunities to leverage AI tools to enhance creative workflows. Develop and support original kids’ sleepwear concepts aligned with creative direction, brand strategy, merchant objectives, assortment plans, and target price points. Conduct trend, material, and technique research to inform innovative and commercially relevant product concepts. Manage assigned design processes and calendars, ensuring projects progress efficiently and deadlines are consistently met. Translate creative ideas into CAD and hand sketches, including silhouettes, form language, illustrations, and detailed product artwork. Prepare professional presentation materials incorporating illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication details, and material samples. Support product development from initial concept through material selection, refinement, and final execution. Partner closely with merchandising, sourcing, technical design, and engineering teams to address product requirements and resolve development issues. Incorporate feedback from internal and external partners while maintaining the overall creative vision and design intent. Collaborate with design peers to strengthen brand cohesion, continuity, and consistency across product categories. Maintain clear, timely communication with cross-functional and external partners throughout the product development process. Explore and leverage AI-powered creative tools to streamline workflows, accelerate ideation, and improve design outcomes. Requirements: Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of relevant design experience , ideally within retail, apparel, product development, or a comparable environment. Strong proficiency with design software including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop . Experience with CAD illustration and/or 2D/3D design software . Knowledge of textiles, garment construction, fit, raw materials, and product production processes. Demonstrated ability to translate creative concepts into commercially viable and cost-effective design solutions. Experience incorporating product feedback and adapting designs based on business, technical, and customer considerations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across creative, technical, merchandising, and sourcing teams. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to balance creative innovation with commercial objectives, quality expectations, and target price points. Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, New Arc, or Vizcom to enhance creative processes and outcomes.
