This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AEM Developer based in the United States. This is an opportunity to build and evolve enterprise-grade digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager across modern web and cloud environments. You will take ownership of AEM Sites, Assets, components, templates, workflows, integrations, and front-end experiences. The role combines hands-on Java and AEM development with headless delivery, GraphQL, cloud-native deployment, and performance optimization. You will work closely with content authors, designers, product owners, and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. The position also involves troubleshooting production environments and contributing to architecture, engineering standards, and technical documentation. You will have the opportunity to work with AEM as a Cloud Service and the broader Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem. This role is well suited to a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and improving digital platforms at enterprise scale. Design, develop, and maintain AEM Sites components, templates, content fragments, and other enterprise digital experience capabilities using modern AEM development patterns. Build and enhance OSGi services, Sling models, servlets, and Java-based backend functionality within the AEM platform. Develop responsive front-end experiences using HTL, JavaScript, and modern development and build tools. Implement headless and hybrid content delivery using AEM Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and related edge delivery capabilities. Develop and migrate solutions to AEM as a Cloud Service while supporting cloud-native CI/CD deployment practices. Configure and enhance AEM Assets workflows, DAM customizations, and metadata schemas to improve content management. Integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions such as Adobe Target, Analytics, and Campaign, as well as external enterprise systems. Implement personalization, A/B testing, and targeted content delivery capabilities to support engaging digital experiences. Optimize site performance through caching strategies, Dispatcher configuration, and systematic performance tuning. Build and maintain AEM deployment pipelines using tools such as Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Participate in code reviews, establish development standards, document technical decisions, and contribute to long-term platform maintainability. Diagnose and resolve production issues across AEM author, publish, and Dispatcher tiers, collaborating with infrastructure teams when required. Partner with content authors, designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to improve authoring experiences and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Stay current with AEM releases, AEM as a Cloud Service developments, Edge Delivery Services, and the wider Adobe ecosystem. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager development experience, with the source description indicating 8+ years of overall experience for the position. Strong expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, HTL, and core AEM development concepts. Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including author, publish, and Dispatcher tiers.
