This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DBA / Data Modeler / Data Engineer based in the United States. This role combines database administration, data modeling, and engineering responsibilities within a federal identity and access management environment. You will help ensure critical data is accurate, secure, well-structured, and efficiently available across interconnected systems. Your work will directly support identity management, reporting, analytics, fraud detection, and secure system integrations. The position offers an opportunity to design data architectures while also maintaining the performance and reliability of production environments. You will collaborate with development, security, operations, and other technical teams to solve complex data challenges. Strong documentation and attention to detail will be essential when managing sensitive identity and personally identifiable information. This is a remote position requiring Public Trust clearance and a strong understanding of secure federal IT environments. Manage, design, optimize, and maintain data-related activities supporting identity and access management systems. Develop and maintain detailed file layouts, source-to-target mappings, conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and comprehensive data dictionaries. Design, support, and enhance automated processes for secure internal data sharing with authorized applications. Support analytics initiatives involving user account analysis, reporting, and fraud detection. Manage data integration, intersystem connections, data loads, extracts, and other data exchange processes. Support network and data-flow management activities, including capturing true user IP addresses and implementing network edge protection measures. Enable analytic tagging and dynamic error messaging to improve system visibility and operational effectiveness. Maintain application-specific information documentation and support token-management data processes. Configure and maintain databases while performing performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, and capacity-management activities. Identify and resolve database and data-related performance, quality, and integration issues. Help ensure sensitive identity and PII data is handled securely and in accordance with applicable requirements. Collaborate with development, cybersecurity, operations, and other technical stakeholders to support reliable system integrations and data services. Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture, processes, and operational practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience . Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance . Strong expertise in database administration, data modeling, and data engineering. Proficiency with relational databases, data modeling tools, and ETL processes. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain data models, source-to-target mappings, file layouts, and data dictionaries. Experience working with sensitive identity information and personally identifiable information in secure environments. Strong understanding of database performance tuning, monitoring, backup processes, and capacity planning. Knowledge of data integration, data sharing, system interfaces, and analytics support. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex data and database issues. Excellent documentation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with development, security, infrastructure, and operations teams. Familiarity with federal IT environments, security controls, and compliance requirements is preferred.
