This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Asset Management Executive based in India. This role is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of IT hardware, software, and related technology assets across the organization. You’ll ensure assets are accurately tracked, properly allocated, maintained, recovered, and securely disposed of when they reach end of life. The position combines inventory management, IT operations, procurement coordination, compliance, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, vendors, OEMs, and business stakeholders to maintain strong asset controls. Your work will directly support operational efficiency, cost management, information security, audit readiness, and asset accountability. The role offers exposure to assets deployed across offices, client sites, project locations, and remote-working environments. It is well suited to an organized and detail-oriented IT professional who takes ownership of processes and enjoys improving operational controls. Manage the IT asset lifecycle: Oversee procurement coordination, receipt, inspection, tagging, allocation, transfer, maintenance, recovery, replacement, decommissioning, and disposal of IT assets. Maintain asset records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records covering make, model, serial number, asset tag, configuration, warranty, location, custodian, status, and other relevant asset information. Manage hardware and software: Track laptops, desktops, servers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, networking equipment, storage devices, accessories, and software licenses. Coordinate asset allocation: Issue assets following the required approval and acknowledgment processes and maintain appropriate handover and return documentation. Support employee lifecycle processes: Coordinate with HR, IT, and managers to allocate assets during onboarding and recover them promptly during transfers and employee exits. Conduct audits and reconciliation: Perform physical asset verification and periodic inventory audits, reconcile physical assets against asset registers, and investigate discrepancies. Track distributed assets: Maintain visibility of technology deployed across offices, client sites, project locations, and remote-working environments. Coordinate with external partners: Work with Procurement, Finance, vendors, and OEMs on purchases, repairs, warranty claims, replacements, leases, and service agreements. Monitor asset maintenance: Track assets under repair and follow up to ensure timely resolution and closure. Manage warranties and renewals: Monitor warranty, AMC, lease, and software license renewal dates and take appropriate action ahead of expiry. Support asset disposal: Maintain records of damaged, lost, stolen, obsolete, and non-functional assets and coordinate approved disposal and e-waste processes. Protect information security: Ensure storage devices are securely erased or destroyed before reassignment or disposal. Monitor software compliance: Maintain software license records and track allocation, utilization, and compliance requirements. Prepare operational reports: Produce regular reports covering inventory, asset allocation, ageing, warranty status, repair activity, and asset availability. Maintain ITSM records: Update asset-related tickets, requests, approvals, and other information within designated ITSM or asset-management systems. Support audits: Assist with internal, client, statutory, and information-security audits by providing accurate asset documentation and records. Improve processes: Identify opportunities to strengthen asset-management procedures, controls, documentation, and overall operational efficiency.
