This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Engineer III based in the United States. The Technical Engineer III will serve as an advanced technologist focused on building secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud and network infrastructure. The role spans Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, with a strong emphasis on multi-cloud networking, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and security. You will design and support complex connectivity, routing, DNS, firewall, segmentation, and hybrid-cloud solutions across enterprise environments. The position combines hands-on engineering with troubleshooting, architecture, infrastructure modernization, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with architects, engineers, technology leaders, support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. The role also offers opportunities to mentor other technical professionals and contribute to cloud adoption, data center migration, and network transformation initiatives. Success requires strong technical judgment, analytical thinking, independence, and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment. Design, develop, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud and network infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS. Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Infrastructure as Code, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. Design and support Azure networking services, including VNets, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Private DNS, and Network Security Groups. Design and support AWS networking services, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Network Load Balancers, Application Load Balancers, Network Firewall, Security Groups, and NACLs. Implement and troubleshoot advanced routing technologies and protocols, including BGP and OSPF. Design and maintain public and private DNS architectures using Azure Private DNS, AWS Route 53, and Infoblox. Develop secure network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies using technologies such as Aviatrix, NSGs, and distributed firewall policies. Manage and troubleshoot enterprise firewall technologies, including Palo Alto Networks and Check Point. Design and support secure hybrid-cloud connectivity between on-premises data centers and cloud environments. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, testing, and operational processes through Terraform, Ansible, Python, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot complex cloud, network, connectivity, DNS, routing, and security issues across enterprise environments. Monitor cloud and network environments using Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and other observability platforms. Support network automation and source-of-truth initiatives using platforms such as Nautobot and NetBox. Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, procedures, and operational support materials. Collaborate with technology management, senior engineers, architects, support teams, vendors, and business partners to define requirements and deliver technical solutions. Support cloud adoption, transformation, enterprise data center migration, and network modernization initiatives. Identify and escalate technical, operational, security, and risk-related issues appropriately. Review technical documentation, proposed solutions, implementations, and changes developed by less experienced team members. Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and integrators as appropriate. Requirements Minimum of 6 years of combined higher education and/or professional experience in systems engineering, network engineering, infrastructure design, cloud technologies, automation, or related disciplines.
