This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Workup based in the United States. This role provides leadership and operational direction for a team responsible for safely and efficiently managing selected donors through qualification, collection, and recovery. You will oversee daily operations while building a high-performing, collaborative, and service-oriented team culture. The position combines people leadership, performance management, continuous improvement, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. You will monitor operational metrics, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and help resolve complex donor, clinical, technical, and partner-related issues. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will help strengthen processes and improve the donor experience. The role also contributes to strategic and operational planning, business development, and the ongoing evolution of Donor Services. This is an impactful opportunity for an experienced healthcare or clinical operations leader who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced environment. Lead the day-to-day operations of the Workup team, ensuring appropriate workload distribution and the safe, timely, and effective management of donor activities. Hire, train, supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate team members while establishing clear performance expectations and accountability. Monitor weekly and monthly performance metrics related to donor availability, donation timeliness, donor experience, quality, and other operational objectives. Develop and implement initiatives that improve team performance, employee engagement, service quality, and achievement of departmental goals. Facilitate regular team and individual meetings, establish focused agendas, communicate priorities, and provide ongoing feedback and recognition. Support employee learning and professional development through coaching, performance evaluations, competency assessments, and targeted development plans. Troubleshoot complex issues involving donors, vendors, and external stakeholders, intervening as needed to facilitate effective and positive outcomes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer service, donor management, case management, transplant centers, and other critical stakeholders. Analyze donor-management processes to identify opportunities for standardization, efficiency, quality improvement, and sustainable operational performance. Monitor and evaluate performance data and reports, using insights to recommend process improvements and support informed operational decisions. Promote a strong culture of quality assurance, compliance, accountability, and high performance across the team. Support quality initiatives through call coaching, file reviews, competency assessments, and other quality-monitoring activities. Resolve operational, clinical, and technical issues related to donor management and contribute to improvements in business systems and software. Provide input into the development, review, and maintenance of standard operating procedures, policies, and processes. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, organizational standards, government regulations, FDA guidance, OSHA guidelines, and relevant federal, state, and local laws. Participate in internal and external audits, including donor chart and record reviews required for applicable release processes. Serve as a member of the Operations and Donor Services management team and provide expertise and support to senior leaders. Participate in cross-functional teams, project ideation, facilitation, and strategic operational initiatives. Contribute to budget planning and staffing forecasts for the assigned functional area.
