This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tax Manager based in the United States. This is a strategic corporate tax role focused on U.S. income tax compliance, tax accounting, and provision activities within a fast-paced FinTech environment. You will lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 processes while overseeing federal, state, local, and applicable international tax compliance. The role combines technical tax expertise with opportunities to improve processes, systems, controls, and reporting as the business continues to evolve. You will analyze changing tax legislation, support audits and transactions, and provide practical guidance on complex tax matters. Close collaboration with Finance, R&D, external advisors, and other cross-functional teams will be essential to your success. The position is well suited to an experienced corporate tax professional or public accounting manager who enjoys solving complex problems and driving scalable solutions. It also offers an opportunity to apply emerging technologies and AI tools to improve tax processes and deliver measurable business impact. Lead the preparation, review, and coordination of quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions , including related tax accounting processes and supporting documentation. Manage the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimates, and applicable non-U.S. filings. Monitor federal, state, and local tax legislation and assess its potential impact on the organization, including modeling the effects of proposed legislative changes. Prepare and review Earnings and Profits (E&P) calculations, tax basis balance sheets, income tax payable proofs, and related tax analyses. Manage foreign subsidiary return-to-provision reconciliations, including tax basis balance sheets and income tax payable proofs. Prepare and review tax account reconciliations, return-to-provision analyses, and other tax provision schedules. Manage research tax credit calculations and documentation initiatives in collaboration with external tax advisors and internal R&D teams. Support tax audits, assessments, information requests, and related resolution activities. Conduct tax research and provide analysis on matters affecting the business, including tax considerations associated with mergers and acquisitions. Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, systems, controls, and reporting as business operations and technology platforms evolve. Partner with Finance and other cross-functional teams to communicate complex tax matters clearly and develop practical, timely solutions. Leverage technology, automation, analytics, and AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency, scalability, and the quality of tax-related work. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related business discipline. 12+ years of combined corporate tax and/or public accounting experience. Significant experience with ASC 740 , including valuation allowances, tax basis balance sheets, income tax payable proofs, and related technical accounting matters. Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax compliance and tax considerations affecting multinational corporate groups, including NCTI, foreign tax credit limitations, repatriation, and intercompany transactions. Proven analytical, research, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to management and cross-functional stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to identify tax issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Finance, R&D, external advisors, and other business functions. Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting is preferred.
