This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Proposal Graphics Consultant based in the United States. This is a remote opportunity for an experienced visual communications professional focused on strengthening the quality and effectiveness of U.S. Government proposals. You will transform complex technical, operational, and management concepts into clear, compelling visual stories that help proposal teams communicate their value. The role combines proposal design, information design, visual strategy, and rapid-response production in a deadline-driven professional services environment. You will build reusable graphics libraries, templates, layouts, and visual standards that make future proposal development faster and more consistent. The position also provides an opportunity to influence broader corporate visual identity through recommendations spanning branding, website content, and communications materials. Success requires close collaboration with proposal managers, writers, subject-matter experts, and senior leaders, as well as the ability to respond calmly to last-minute needs. The ideal candidate brings strong design judgment, government proposal experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to every deliverable. Develop and maintain a reusable library of proposal graphics, templates, layouts, icons, and other visual assets using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable platforms. Translate complex technical, management, and programmatic concepts into clear diagrams, graphics, and information designs that reinforce proposal messaging. Provide responsive graphics support throughout active proposal efforts, including rapid revisions, quality checks, and last-minute production needs. Establish and maintain consistent standards for layout, typography, color, iconography, imagery, and information hierarchy across proposal materials. Advise proposal teams on effective visual approaches and help colleagues understand how to use templates and visual assets appropriately. Review and recommend updates to visual and branding guidelines to improve consistency and usability. Review corporate and digital materials and identify opportunities to strengthen the organization’s overall visual identity. Collaborate closely with proposal managers, writers, subject-matter experts, and senior leadership to ensure visual deliverables support strategic proposal objectives. Explain and defend design decisions clearly, connecting choices around layout, color, typography, imagery, and information hierarchy to audience needs and proposal strategy. Manage multiple priorities and short-notice requests while maintaining high standards for accuracy, creativity, responsiveness, and customer service. Requirements: Demonstrated professional experience creating proposal graphics, particularly for U.S. Government contractors or federal clients. Experience supporting large federal contractors, ideally within defense, national security, foreign affairs, intelligence, international development, or related markets. Exceptional visual judgment, design sensibility, and attention to detail. Strong information-design skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas through diagrams, graphics, layouts, and visual storytelling. Advanced proficiency with Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable professional design tools. Ability to establish and maintain coherent visual systems covering typography, color, iconography, imagery, layouts, and information hierarchy. Strong understanding of how government proposal evaluators consume and assess complex information, with the ability to design materials that improve clarity and comprehension.
