This is a senior leadership opportunity within clinical data and analytics, focused on strengthening operational oversight across complex clinical trial programs. You will lead centralized monitoring activities, evaluate operational risk signals, and help translate data into effective risk mitigation strategies. The role combines strategic planning, people leadership, technical oversight, and cross-functional collaboration in a global environment. You will manage resources and workloads while supporting functions spanning data services, performance measurement, database administration, and application development. The position also provides significant exposure to senior stakeholders and external sponsors, with opportunities to influence quality, efficiency, and business growth. Success requires strong clinical-trial expertise, analytical judgment, and the ability to turn complex information into actionable decisions. Oversee a broad portfolio of Centralized Monitoring processes, ensuring assigned projects meet contractual commitments, timelines, quality standards, and operational expectations. Provide tactical and strategic planning, operational oversight, and direct leadership for the Clinical Data Liaison function within Data Analytics. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop direct reports while managing team resources, workload allocation, priorities, and performance. Evaluate operational signals and risks at multiple levels, using data and analytics to identify potential issues and advocate for appropriate mitigation strategies. Support departmental infrastructure and operational excellence across areas including support services, database administration, performance measurement, and application system development. Partner with functional leaders and cross-departmental stakeholders to improve processes, strengthen quality, and address operational challenges. Support the department leadership team with strategic and ad hoc initiatives designed to improve departmental effectiveness, quality, and cost efficiency. Apply strong analytical and technical judgment when interpreting data, identifying trends, and translating insights into practical business and operational recommendations. Represent the function in senior-level management discussions and cross-functional forums, communicating priorities, risks, performance, and opportunities clearly. Contribute to business development activities, including participation in sponsor meetings and discussions with external stakeholders. Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring sustained concentration, attention to detail, multitasking, and frequent interaction with clients and colleagues. Requirements: 10+ years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge and capabilities required for the role. At least 5 years of management or people-leadership experience, with a proven track record of building, motivating, coaching, and developing high-performing teams. Deep functional expertise in clinical trials and the broader clinical research/data analytics environment. Strong understanding of centralized monitoring processes, operational risk management, clinical data, and data-driven approaches to improving trial execution. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, extract meaningful insights, and apply findings to real-world operational problems.
