Trade Compliance Legal Talent

We are currently seeking Trade Compliance & Sanctions Legal Talent to work with Axiom clients across a range of industries, supporting trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, import controls and related regulatory matters. Responsibilities: Provide practical, business-focused advice on trade compliance matters, including export controls, import controls, economic sanctions, licensing and wider regulatory requirements. Develop, implement and support trade compliance programmes, policies, procedures, training and monitoring processes. Review trade documentation, support product classification and screening processes, and assist with export licences, registrations, audits and regulatory approvals where required. Work closely with legal, compliance, risk, supply chain, procurement, logistics and business teams to identify risk, manage regulatory change and deliver pragmatic solutions. Minimum Qualifications: Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK or an experienced trade compliance, sanctions or export-controls professional with relevant UK experience. Experience in one or more areas of trade compliance, including export controls, import controls, sanctions, customs, product classification, licensing, screening or compliance programmes. Experience gained in-house, in private practice, within a regulated business, consultancy, professional-services environment or other international trade-focused organisation. Strong commercial awareness, regulatory judgment, stakeholder-management, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical and business-focused support.
